Beacon Retail Programme heads to Carrigaline

CarrigalineCork County Council’s Beacon Initiative, would like to invite retailers based in the Carrigaline area to our open meeting on Tuesday 21st April in the Carrigaline Court Hotel at 6.15pm.
During the meeting, customer facing businesses will be given the opportunity to hear first hand how this Retail programme will address the specific needs of their business and how it can assist them in moving their business forward. To date the programme has been successfully rolled out to several towns across Cork County and the Beacon team has worked with over 200 businesses ranging from convenience stores and florists to pharmacies and restaurants.
The meeting will be presented by Padraig O’ Sullivan, Beacon Initiative Programme Manager, along with James Burke and Keith Harford, both experienced retail professional and formerly of SuperQuin and all local businesses are encouraged to attend on the night.

Following on from the open meeting, participating retailers will then attend an interactive group session workshop with other local businesses, discussing topics such as; store layout, promotional activity and best industry practice. Each retailer will then work on an individual basis with Padraig, James and their team and a strategic working document will be compiled and put into action. This document will form the basis of the growth plan for the business over the next 12 to 18 months and will include elements such as, marketing and digital media, online presence, customer service and the sales process.

The programme is heavily subsidised by CORK COUNTY COUNCIL’S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND and will run over a 5-month period.  To ensure the programmes success, places are limited to just 15 businesses.
